Synapses are fundamental units of neuronal connectivity in the brain. The Je laboratory investigates synapse for principles of learning and memory, for processes underlying animal behaviours, and for pathological mechanisms of various neurological and psychiatric disorders including autism, schizophrenia, and Alzheimer’s disease. In this talk, I will present current research outcomes from three major aspects of research in our laboratory – 1) the role of BDNF/TrkB signalling in animal behavior, 2) the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying autism, and 3) cutting-edge tools for neuroscience research, especially human induced neurons and brain organoids.

▶Inquiry: Prof. Kunyoo Shin (279-2358)
